So remember that when you feel your temper rising, your heart bruising, or an inappropriate giggle bubbling up inside of you. You can stop things from getting uncomfortable by simply taking a step back, letting yourself breathe, and taking your pulse—both literally and figuratively. Just because you are feeling some confusing thoughts does not mean you should be afraid of your emotions.
