May 3, 2026 – When you meet someone new, you have a very specific way of 'interviewing' them for the position of friend, lover, or long-term partner: You toss words, phrases, and jokes at them and see what they hit back. For the 'interviewee,' it's rather like trying out for a major-league team without having any idea they're being auditioned. You'll be doing that now, but don't feel bad about not letting them in on it. It would only make them (more) nervous, which certainly wouldn't help their chances any, now would it?
