Sure, by sticking to your guns you might make things inconvenient for one or two folks, but so what? You can't change your way of doing things just to make someone else happy. If people consider it selfish to not go along with the crowd, that's their problem. Be prepared to go it alone for the next few days if you must. It will be worth it.
