You're getting way too caught up in being responsible and losing sight of the fact that "all work and no play" makes you very dull indeed. No one is saying that you should skip out on obligations and go dancing, but would it really harm anything if you begged off that boring meeting that you don't really need to go to anyway? Put your own enjoyment ahead of anything else today. You deserve to goof off for a while.
